If you have never had them and you don't have a fvcking clue then why are you posting in this thread? In the South it is CRAWFISH. The pure stupidity of people on AT sometimes makes me sick.

I concur. Say CRAYFISH down here and you'll get your tongue cut off and fed to an alligator, and we'll eat your brains with a little Tony's. mmmmm good.

Yup, gotta suck the heads, though the little meat in the tail reigon isnt much to cheer about. But then I also eat the crap under the shell of crabs. Tastes great when its floured and deep fried..mmmmmm.

this man knows his food!

I caught a bunch of them in some lakes in AZ while camping and ate them. I do not know I should suck on the head.

The Crawdad Festival in Isleton is one of my favorite weekends in the world. You cant turn around without seeing:

A) a beer vendor
B) a cauldron of crawdads cooking
C) hot chicks!

I get the feeling crawfish are a southern food. I have never seen a place around here that sells crawfish.
So how far would I have to go from New York to find a place that serves crawfish?

I'm not sure if you could find a restaurant that serves crayfish in their regular menu, but what you can do is check your local China town grocery store for frozen crawfish.

The best is go to Creole region for their festival, foods, and women 😉

Damn right. Crawfish boils are one of the funnest things to go to. Beer, food, women, hell yeah! 😀

i usually get some when i go to louisiana... steamboat bill's in lake charles in particular... damn good and damn cheap. the ones in NO during mardi gras are a rip. especially if there hasn't been much rain.

I don't but my dad does. I don't really like the taste; I'm not sure if it's just a phsyciological thing or actually not tasting good.

I havn't had any of that stuff since I moved to Vancouver, Canada from Texas, I think 7-8 years ago.
