Yup, gotta suck the heads, though the little meat in the tail reigon isnt much to cheer about.

But then I also eat the crap under the shell of crabs. Tastes great when its floured and deep fried..mmmmmm.

The very idea of sucking meat or juice out of crawfish head sounds disgusting.

But then when I was stationed in philippines, I've eaten rotted half-hatched egg call Ballut (sp?). That was very disgusting.

LOL. I KNEW it had to be about mudbugs.... and still have as many replies as it has. The MODS aren't sleeping, I'm sure.

Yeah, a duck egg that has been incubated 17 days and removed for boiling and consumption. So chick will have feathers and bones in the egg.

Locals believe that Balut will give long staying power and stamina for sex.

I like crawfish, but I won't suck the heads on all of them, not when there's a mound of them sitting in front of me. So, I didn't vote, because there was no "sometimes"

I love crawfish, and can't till they come in season again. It's just starting here, but they are a little too small and soft for my liking yet.

I normally don't suck the heads. I just eat my several platters worth. :D

Where you from Dparker?

It is an acquire taste for sucking the crap & mud out of the head.

Crawfish (crayfish) is the best shrimp/lobster type of food I have ever had. They are much more tender than lobsters & sweeter prawns.

You guys are lucky southerners, crayfish is my favorite shellfish that I haven?t had any for almost 10 years because they are very difficult to them fresh in Canada.

Haven't eaten crawfish but have been crawfish fishing and that was fun! Find 'em at night with a flashlight and then catch 'em in a net. My friends and I went a while ago, had a blast.

Love crawfish but I hate to work too hard to EAT my food. I'll spend all day making my food, but when it's time to eat, I want to be able to inhale it. So shelling shellfish is out of the question for me. ;) When the wife and I go to "all you can eat" lobster or crab specials, I'll let her get the shellfish. I'll get a burger. :D

You know what's good? The Crawfish Pasta at Shell's. Just a bunch of crawfish meat tossed up in linguine with a spicy cream sauce. YUM! That's good stuff. They don't have it year round. Only when the crawfish is fresh, but when it's on the menu I could eat that three times a day (why stop there?). :D
