Poll: Do you suck the heads?

I had my all you can eat crawfish tonight for dinner, so I was pleased. One thing I can't bring myself to do though is suck the heads. I've tried it a few times, and yes it is tasty, but damn I can't get over the fact that I'm sucking the fvcking heads. My dad does and all his friends. I guess it is aquired and I will get used to it, but how many of you suck the heads off of crawfish?

I wouldn't say that, but they are called the "poor man's lobster" although they still cost alot. Damn they are good though.

I have eaten crawfish, both large and small, in different countries and I have never even heard of sucking the heads. If it turns you on I guess you should do it.

BTW, the largest crawfish I have eaten were in the Dominican Republic. They were the size of lobsters.

Lol. You don't eat the head, just the meat that is in the tail. You suck the head because that is where the flavor is at.

I never tried it. I'm too busy eating the crawfish tails to worry about sucking the heads. I also grab the corn and potatoes from the boil. They burn my lips, but they be good...

We have all the good food here in the dirty south...

Are crawfish the same as crayfish? Well, assuming they are....

I've caught crayfish.
I've watched my friends fry crayfish.
I've watched my friends eat fried crayfish. (I don't believe they sucked the heads.)
I've never eaten crayfish. (they ain't kosher.)
