i don't smoke, nor do i intend to. i don't mind being around people that do, though, because I like the smell of tobaco smoke. but like i said before, i don't intend to ever smoke myself. the day may come when i try one smoke, but most likely not. and again, i do not intend to pick it up as a habbit.
<< i dont mean to call you guys liars...but i dont believe nicotine is addictive...and no im not the tobacco company. >>
You gotta be kidding. If I don't have a smoke for an extended period of time, I have this feeling in my gut that craves for a smoke (literally). Also, if I don't smoke in the morning (if I run out and don't have time to buy some before work), I am a cranky SOB until I get my fix. After I do, I'm a mellow dude. And its not psychological.
I guess you believe caffeine isn't addictive either.
Nicotine IS addictive. I actually know people who have gone through withdrawal when they tried to quit cold turkey. The fact that they starting shaking uncontrollably is a pretty good sign that it wasn't just in their head.
nicotine is addictive.. it is a proven fact... years and years of studies have been conducted and it has been proven to be one of the most addictive drugs out there..
I don't smoke and I don't mind people smoking if they do it a mile away from me, any smokers in the vicinity seriously piss me off
How's smoking in public being handled in your country? Hong Kong likes people to believe that they're doing something about it but in reality...nothing of use has been done
ive heard the sad stories...and ive seen the studies...but from personal experience, i cant say nicotine is addictive. maybe im just a stronger person than most...
<< ya know that jackal scene with the testing range....thats what i want to do chain smokers in resturants.... >>
OMG.. I live in CA, where smoking is illegal in restaurants. However, if I go out of state (it happens occasionally) and I go out to eat they always ask "smoking or non?" and I think "What the hell? I'm leaving and going to a normal, smoke-free restaurant."
Then I remember that there aren't any and say "non".
Not anymore. I'm a quitter. Work out in the Gym now instead and computer GEEK on the side...
BTW - Great Job to all those who have given them up and to those who never have, keep rejecting them.
