I would think the higher you're standing from the toilet, the more chances of that happening.

I've never heard of a person getting a disease from their butt checks touching a bathroom toilet.

I'll wipe the seat down with some toilet paper, but if the bathroom is so dirty that I feel like I need some magical layer of TP to protect me, I probably just wouldn't bother using it at all.
