25. No problem on the multiplication. I am drawing a blank on the long division.

24. The day I can't do both will be the day I'm shamed and shunned by my parents.

Yeah that should have been original poll.

btw, I am 19, in college, did both easily but skipped a zero in long division

Well I did the division one to the 7th decimal place (one longer than google calc does) and then gave up because it doesn't terminate.

The multiplication one took me about 1/10th as long and got it first try.

It doesn't terminate, but it repeats in 23 or less digits (after the decimal point).

I tried doing both in my head, but accidentally omitted the zero like MegaVovaN. (And I didn't find the digit where the division process repeats itself.)

I was terrible at math in grade school and I can do both. I got to ten decimals on the division before I quit. I will avoid your next poll on calculus though. :p

negative on the long division. i tried it out and it looks like a really shitty drawing of a shack made of numbers

Not only can I do them, I can do them in my head...although after 4-5 sig figs, I start having trouble remembering all the necessary numbers, so I have to write stuff down.

long division i can do but i long ago stopped doing multiplication on paper and just do it in my head, i forget what the process is called, but i took a placement test at a community college last month and froze at a multiplication problem because i forgot how to do it the way they wrote it

No problem @ 35.

Now, if you start asking about differential equations and integration, that's where my memory doesn't serve me as well. ;)

I don't actually own a calculator. I'm 22 and in Physics graduate school. You're god damn right I know how to multiply and do long division (just did a long division problem the other day).

22 and i can do both extremely easily. I do it quite often for work :(
