Here's what most Oregonians have to endure:

1) Drive to gas station, pull up next to pump

2) Hand gas attendant credit card or cash, tell them what you want.

3) They fill your gas, hand you receipt and you drive off.

:p

Here's what most UK people have to endure:

1) Drive to petrol station, pull up next to pump

2) Get out, start to pump petrol until desired amount has been reached

3) Go inside the petrol station, pay by cheque/credit/dedit card/cash

4) Go outside back to car and drive off.

Makes sense to me.

really? is there any particular gas station you have to go to?

and Rossman:
Oregon has no self-service gas station at all?

I believe it's against the law to pump your own gas in Oregon.

Call me a lazy pussy but I like it that way.

Works at any gas station where you pay at the pump. The 5% rebate is automatically deducted from each month's billing statement.

The AAA credit card offering 5% rebates on gas is nice, unfortunately they declined me last year.

Fortunately CitiBank now offers 5% rebates on supermarket, drug store and gas purchases ... even to existing card members!

Hmm.. At any gas station we've ever been to, it's always..

1) Drive up to pump

2) Attendant comes over to you, you say.. "<dollar ammount><grade you want>"

3) They give you the requested ammount

4) You give them the money/they give you change

5) Drive off

lol..

Nope, no self-serve pumps in Oregon.

In NJ it's more like this:
1) Drive up to pump.
2) Wait.
3) Attendant finally comes by. Tell him what you want.
4) Attendant starts pumping and walks away.
5) Pump stops.
6) Wait.
7) Attendant finally comes back.
8) Attendant oversqueezes 72 cents worth of gas so that he can give you change more easily.
9) Pay/get change. More waiting if you pay by card and they don't have pay at the pump pumps.
10) Drive off.

As much as I gripe about driving in PA, the speed and convenience of self-serve gas is one thing I do like.

Always cash.

I always end up behind the old lady who relies on physic powers to pick her scratch tickets. Unfortunately for the rest of the people in line in takes a few minutes for her clairvoyance to kick in for each of the 30 different tickets she buys.

CitiBank Dividend Platinum Select which rocks because:

1) IMHO CitiBank is all around one of the largest and best cc issuers in the world.

2) Virtual Account Numbers - one time use cc number generator

3) VISA and MasterCard cardholder benefits including FREE 1 year extended warranty coverage.

4) No annual fee.

5) 5% rebate on supermaket, drug store and gas purchases.

6) 1% rebate on all other purchases.

7) CitiBankCards.com online banking has a nice easy to use interface, payments made online (before 1PM EST) are applied the same day for free, increase your credit limit, interact with customer service securely, blah blah blah.

8) Damnit because I said so!

I've had my CC for 2-3 months now. It's not secured.

Doesen't it take at least 6 months to really build anything?

Yeah at least 6 months, 9 would be better.
