I used to turn it off to save batteries... even left it downstairs... but I keep it on now and keep it bed-side in case of emergencies (break-ins, etc.)

What a drag... cell phones didn't become really popular until around the time I graduated college (1999). I didn't have to think about turning it silent just before classes and flipping it back afterward. That must suck.

Yup, it's always on. I think it's been turned off like 5 times since I got it in August. It's my only phone so I keep it on just in case.

always on. But then again we did shut off the landline. No reason to have it. We share 1000 minutes and we never even come close to useing them all. Why waste the extra $120 a month for a crappy landline?

my sister uses 4,500 minutes a month. 3800 nights/weekends, 700 anytime.
