[POLL] do you leave your cell phones on through the night ?

On always - it is one of my 3 alarms that go off (buzzer, radio, and the cell). Only way I'll consistently get up in time for my 8:50 after often needing to stay up until 3-4 (like tonight!).

The only time my cell phone is off is if it's dead and I'm looking for the charger to plug it in. Otherwise it never gets turned off and never leaves my side.

Its my only phone and my only alarm clock as well (maybe my watch, but I sleep through that sometimes). It is on all the time.

My phone vibrates first for like the first 3 rings, then does audio for the final 3 and then goes to voice...

always on, never change the ring settings where ever i am

I dont have to worry about my phone dying overnight, it has a pretty good standby batterylife.

No, I don' t turn it off because I usually forget. If it rings and wakes me up, I turn it off, because my cousin in particular has a bad, rude habit of calling without regard for the hour, and calling two or three times in a row if I don't answer. Good thing he doesn't seem to have my home phone number. (Even though it's readily available in the phone book.)

I turn it off in class too, because then callers are directed straight to VM, instead of needing to wait through the rings. (I don't care about the missed call list, because as a rule, I don't return calls if no message is left.)

For those who don't have a landline, how do you deal with house bills (mortgage, water, electrical, etc.) ? Don't they need a referencing phone number for their records ? Did you just give them your cell - they accept that ?

It would only save me $19/mo. (all taxes and other BS fees) but I'm just curious.
