yes. i use it pretty frequently, not all the minutes but i'm on the cheapest plan. have always had one since about 1995 when the form factor shrunk to the size of the nokia 5150. it's funny seeing movies from the 80's and early 90's and seeing what cell phones used to look like.

Yeah, like some others my cell is my only phone, no landline. I know so many people who'll say: "I don't wanna be that accessible". Well then, I just turn it off. But I can't tell you how many times it's been real convienient to have.

I have a Sanyo 4900 with Sprint and it's become my primary phone... reception anywhere, great battery life; just so convenient.

Even though both of us have cell phones, it took only a minute to conclude that we'd still need a landline when we moved into this house. The cell reception inside the house is spotty, and the home alarm system requires a landline to dial-out to central monitoring station...

And yes... just a curiousity question... trying to get a percentage of a sample population. ;)

At my peak I had 5 lines, 3 land (2voice/1data) & 2 cellular.

Now I'm down to 3 lines, 2 voice (home and office) and 1 cellular.

I got rid of the data line recently when I got wireless broadband and the second cellular phone was stolen a while back and we decided we didn't really need it. My wife doesn't do a lot of driving anymore.

yeah.. i use it every time i make a phone call cuz my school phone charges for all off campus calls.. i cant even order a pizza from the school phone with out being charged! it takes longer to punch in the calling card numbers than to order the pizza, so bump that.

Yes, family plan with my better half. Got rid of the land line ('net access via cable).

Agreed. I don't WANT people to get ahold of me at all times! I love my caller ID at home so I don't have to answer and gab. Add to that that email is probably just as easy to get ahold of me with as a phone call would be. I'm usually at home, work, or school, and have email at all 3 places.

I would like a cell phone for the driving emergency situation, but other than that, I'm not going to follow the trend.

yeah, that's really the really cool benefit to the phone, I decided not to open the voicemail on it. It has caller ID though, so if I don't recognize the phone number, I don't have to answer it, or if I do, then I know who's calling and I can choose wether or not to answer it... either way they can't leave me voice mail.

HAHHAAAHAHAHAHA!

Electronic leash is true if only your parents call ...

My teammates call me on it all the time to find out schedule, etc. I really do use it a lot for those reasons because I'm not always at home (when they call).
