Not even remotely close. Up until I was around 16, the household income in my house wasn't even above $50,000.

yeah, they sacrificed & saved, then invested their money.

OTOH, my dad died at age 45 (younger than i am)

Bleh. I was raised by a single mom on welfare. Which is a signifigant part of why I never went to college (rules about 18 year olds staying in the house when mom's still on welfare taking care of brother..) 🙁

I'm only bitter towards "silver spoon" types if they didn't take advantage of their situation. The ones that go off and blow all their money and their parents money and don't make themselves self-sufficient really bug. Especially when they whine about it too.
 
Parents - about $1.5 million in net worth.

I am 24, girlfriend is 23, and we make 225-240K combined.
I do not consider myself rich... maybe in 10 years I will be comfortable...

Rich to me is being able to charter a jet and fly to europe just because.... or drop 4 million on a 80' yatch, etc.
