Coke Zero is basically a "Diet" Coke that is based on the Classic Coke recipe and is not called "diet" because it is marketed to young men.

Diet Coke is based on the "New Coke" recipe.

I find there is a big difference in the taste of Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Since I love regular old Classic Coke, it makes sense that I prefer Coke Zero.

"Coke Zero and Diet Coke are actually very similar. Both are low calorie drinks and have exactly the same ingredients – carbonated purified water, colour (caramel 150d), food acids (338 and 331), flavour, artificial sweeteners aspartame (951) and acesulphame potassium (950), preservative (211) and caffeine. The key difference between the two drinks is in the proportions of these ingredients, giving each has a slightly different flavour profile."

I noticed the other day that at Sam's Club, Coke Zero costs 9.44 for 32 cans, while Diet Coke is only 7.xx something for 32 cans.

I may switch back to Diet Coke or Diet DP instead. After I do a blind taste test of course.

The zeros are infinitely better than the diets. Coke Zero, Coke Zero Vanilla, Cherry Coke Zero, Sprite Zero....all really good stuff compared to the Diet versions. Aftertaste is still kinda funky, but at least the actual drink taste isn't as funky.

Of course I prefer the regular versions, but if I can still have a drink that's not water that I somewhat enjoy & avoid the 40g of sugar, that's a plus.

Coke Zero. My fav is Diet Pepsi though. However at home I drink TONS of generic brand diet coke every day.

it's a huge difference in taste though, look at the 6 different varieties of Hawaiian Punch, they all have the exact same ingredients. But they all taste vastly different. I'm still trying to figure that shit out.

Coke Zero

I was on 3x 2 litters per day at one point.
I decided to stop but end up drinking 6 gallons of diet arizona green tea instead and a shit load of coffee.
