Poll: Did Christianity have anything to do with the Crusades?

I thought we punish folk for breaking laws because it's for their own good. It concentrates the attention on doing better, so to speak. We are soon going to have to ration people's intake to keep them thin and healthy, I think. Fuck um if they don't like it.

Nah... we punish folks cuz it makes US feel good... that they get punished may be the consequence of the event, however. We don't much care about if they do better or not... we want revenge. So we create the system to enable us to stand back and know that we can now feel good cuz someone has paid for their injustice to us or some other poor slob..

Right... make all people thin and healthy... we attempt that with the poor... well, thin but maybe not healthy... ah.. but we'll give them health care instead of food... cheaper, I guess..
Who cares what the people that don't matter think anyhow... that is their lot in life and they've to live it... not my fault they were born in Afghanistan and not Pennsylvania... I say; let em eat cake... even though Marie Antoinette didn't.
And, if they don't like it... all the better!
