I have 2 good friends from highschool.

I have 2 roommates that I can hang out with and chill.

I have 2 pretty good friends from Kung Fu.

I have 2 very good friends form TaeKwonDo.

I have 2 good friends that used to be in Kung Fu.

I have a few acquaintences I've met over the years from college.

They have a few friends/significant others of their own as well, and I meet them/do stuff with them.

If I played that stupid "6 degrees of . . ." game, I bet I prolly know all the people in my town!

I was on a first-name basis with all 130 in my high school class, and lots in the other classes as well. The town I live in is small (~3000), so it's easy to get to know everyone. Out of those, there's a core group of about 8-10 that I hung out with a lot.

Down at college, I bet I easily know 250+ people -- and wouldn't be afraid to just drop by any of their rooms and chill -- and hang out with maybe 50 or so of them on a semi-regular basis, with a group of about 10 again forming a core that I see regularly.

I try to get to know everyone that I meet, and have them know me. I guess it comes from being the son of a resorting family for the past 11 out of my 21 years ...

You must be good with names. I'm not sure you could convince me that you're really close to 300 people though.

On Friday I hang out with my roomate's family and some of their friends. We roleplay. That's in danger now.

I found out who my best friends are when I moved an hour and a half away at the beginning of the summer. The people I see when I visit are my good friends. Have probably really seen 6-7 people quite regularly when I visit. And some other people I have seen randomly. It's good though - I like it like that.
