Poll: Describe your social life

Had a chat with a friend about how different people have different social situations that make them happy. Started cause his mother apparently thinks he doesn't hang out with enough different people (he basically hangs out with me and his girlfriend, that's about it), but he was talking to me about how he's happy that way, which people of other mindsets (i.e. his mom) don't understand I guess.

As for me, I really only have a couple good friends, lots of acquaintances, but in terms of people who i call up and hang out with, there's really only two. I'm happy with this, although I guess in a perfect world I would see myself as part of a larger group. Ah well. You?

everything is relative.

i have about 4-8 friends who i call up and do stuff on regular basis.

out of those 4-8, one is my best friend.

then i have acquaintances.

but i don't go clubbing or anything like that...

I used to hang out w/ a lot more people....but somehow we've all lost touch.

kinda looking foward to school starting again...summer sucks when you have no friends to see. 🙁

After high school you will learn 1-2 good friends is all you really had. If you are lucky that is. 1 good friend is all I need, the rest of the time I spend with my girlfriend or myself getting drunk.

Other than my girlfriend and my brother & his girlfriend, I do have a big group of friends, but we don't hang out every day since they live about 20 miles from me.

I have three REALLY good friends, and my girlfriend. Unfortunately, my three good friends live about 2 hours away, but I'll get to see them again at the end of the month (when they come down to Ann Arbor for school again). 🙂

Ann Arbor, eh? I'll be there tomorrow, visiting the U (I'm about to be a senior in HS).

Being very involved at school, I can't help but know a lot of people...it's just who I am...I have my core group of friends (two sets, actually...my geek friends, and my social/asian friends), and then the web thins from there.

I have a lot of friends.

I hang out with lots of them when I can. We are busy people but we make time to go out and have fun.

ive got... a moderate amount of friends.

ive got a core bunch of friends that i hang out with in school and out. like 15 or so. known em forever. theres a group of people who i know branched off from school people... another 10. and then theres a group of friends i met at a summer thing. another 10? something like that. yay. that was informative.

My brother-in-law and I do stuff (trap and sporting clay shooting) together and I have a couple of geek friends I do computer stuff with, but not like when I was in school. Now it's just mostly wife, kids & me.

I have co-workers I chat with at work, but I never really go out with them on the weekends. Saw a movie with them some once, but they also gave me a lift so it was their fuel not mine.

I have almost no social life, most of the time I prefer it that way. Its better, IMO, to not be obligated to spend time with 2 dozen people all the time. There are times when it gets a little lonely, but then I just go hit the track for 45 minutes. Running tires you too much to think.

I honestly thought you said "hit the crack for 45 minutes":Q

There's absolutely no other point to this post than to say that.

The Bat is entirely drug free. 🙂

In high school it was between the 2-3 good friends to moderate group....definitely a butterfly in college.

A few really good friends and one best friend that I've known forever, but I do stuff with 15-20 others fairly frequently that are all friends that I don't know as well as the others.
