Poll: Dating a "practice" girlfriend

I was watching Family Guy the other week, and Peter made mention that his daughter Meg has a valuable role: practice girlfriend for guys as they get ready for presumably better girlfriends.

Do you guys follow this strategy? Do you intentionally date "lesser" girls to get your game together before going for better girls?

I was thinking this might be cruel, but then I realised I went through the same thing on my recent job hunt: I interviewed with smaller companies first (with no intention of taking their offers) so that I could get myself together to interview for big companies.
 
I look back at my dating "career" and have noticed that I did that inadvertently, The girls I have dated have gone from average to extremely hot. Thank you average girl for letting me get my game together on you 🙂
 
If you have absolutely no experience i guess a practice girlfriend would help, but usually different women like different things and what one likes probably will not apply to another.

Seems unnecessary to me. You could let the right girl slip right through your fingers while you were runnin through "practice" girls.

amen, I just thought back and realized I followed the same pattern. The girl I lost my virginity to was a 7 but the girl I dumped her for was a 9.

Did I mention that I dumped her the day after we had sex? Yeah it was evil.

Anyone who needs that much advice from an online forum (specialising in comptuer hardware no less) has no business giving advice on women (or claiming to score "extremely hot" girls) to anyone.

Hot girls and my need for advice are not mutually exclusive 🙂
 
I don't think you can "practice" for relationships because they are all different.

You learn some things that you try to take to the next one but I wouldn't consider any of the relationships I've had to be practice. My problem is that I fall in love too easy... old age and bitterness is helping me to stop doing this though, lol.

All the girls I go out with I fancy. It may be less when I first see meet them, but usually after a few more dates I see something in them that makes them a lot more attractive.
