No - he just didn't win me over. We picked out a dog last week but he was already taken. We'll see what happens tomorrow,

Dogs are the more loyal of the two. Cats run off into the night and come back whenever they want to.

I love cats but would also like a small dog very much! All my life I've been kind of afraid of dogs because of negative experiences I've had with a few large, aggressive ones but recently I've met some charming dogs and think it would be cool to have one:)

Dogs, they seem to feel more like companions than a cat does. However I am attached to my woman's cats but if I had it my way would be some sort of puppy in the mix.

You don't have See and Eye Cats or Rescue Cats or Drug Sniffing Cats? Why?? Because they are useless loners who are the animal kingdom equivalent of a 40 year old computer nerd virgin who like to stay at home and sleep all day.

You can take a dog for a walk. You can take a dog in your car for a drive without getting your eyes gouged out if someone honks their horn. Better yet, most dogs actually LISTEN when you call them or ask them to do something.

Cats always have that "Why the F@CK are you talking to me; I'm trying to sleep motherf*&ker" look on their face.

Dogs. Cats are a little too feminine for me. I also can't stand their crap. I really can't understand how someone can make a cat use a litter box. Nothing reeks up a room worse than a freaking litter box.

Congrats on your new pooch. I can't believe how many cat votes there are. Get a god d@mned furby if you're going to get a cat. What's the difference? We've got a German Shepherd and a Lab mix, and my wife sleeps like a lamb when I'm at work at night. A dog WILL protect and be your companion. A cat would drink your own blood while your killers ransacked your home.
We have two cats as well....so I'm no cat hater. Cats are worthless animals tho. They're OK for rodent control I guess. If you want some lazy thing to plop on your lap all day and night I guess cat's are good for that too.

Zactly, cat's can't do a fraction of what a dog can do

cats rule , and yes you can use cats for hunting somewhat, when I was teenage my cats were great rabbit drivers and killers. when I walked out with the pump shot gun and pumped the action they came running ready for action. I would go stand at the end of the brush and they would go threw the brush and drive the bunnies to me. they new exactly what to do esp the old females. if a rabbit got under a junk car I would send them in after it. sometimes they got more than I did.

ps we have to kill the bunnies beacuse they eat off all the small trees that we plant and in winter eat all our bird food. some winters we get over 20 bunnies on the property, that's country life.
