I vote Athlon Too, especially because I am a new P4 sucker. P4s RC5 ratings are 1/2 of my old Athlon. All in all this P4 has absolutly nothing over the Athlon at this time. Price wise I didn't think it was to bad Dell has a few good deals. I needed all new hardware anyways. So I opted for this P4.
ps. I also just ordered the parts to get my old Athy back up and running

at the moment I'd have to say Athalon. My vote may change when VIA comes out with their DDR chipset for the P4. I like Intel CPU's, but I will not help out their Rambus stock option deal by buying any chipset that they produce that uses Rambus.
Only advantage(?) is the P4's memory bandwidth but the latency is so slow ( RAMBUS ) that I'm not even sure that even that is an advantage. Aside from the odd SSE2 optimized prog, the Athlons 1 gig and up SMOKE even the P4 1.5's...Intel inside is a warning label these days. 🙂
