I'm not asian, so I guess I'll just answer "Japanese" to mess up your poll a little more.

Alfredo sauce rules. I don't care if it's in linguine, fettucine, or our spaghetti. ;)

THey also stole ice cream and gun powder and a multitude of other stuff :p

Cheers,

Let me ask you something - how come no one's stolen the herbs and other *magical* soups the chinese conjure up ? Maybe cause it doesn't really work (medically) like my parents claim they do. ;) What's your thoughts on all that voodoo ?

WHat do you think is in Viagra :Q ;)

Cheers,
Aquaman

First of all, it's "Which asian are you?", and second of all, Filipinos are not Asians, they're Pacific Islander, get it right.

And what happened to the rest of Asia?

Edit: OPTION: Vietnamese/Chinese.

that's debatable. Philippines is different than the other countries in Asia and Pacific Islanders. Due to their many different colonizers, it comes down to how much history you know and what cultural similarities you make to other ethnicities.
...and how much geography.

SE Asia's relatively isolated from other countries geographically (excluding some paths between China and Vietnam) but it has always been pretty easy to travel by boat among the countries due to the shallow shelf that connects Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and mainland SE Asia.

I honestly wonder when some Filipinos in America (or Filipino Americans) decided that they should call themselves Pacific Islanders. It's probably all about individuality and wanting to be different. It's probably the same reason we put crazy stickers and body kits on our Hondas :)

You'd never hear a Filipino back on the islands claim to be anything but SE Asian

of course not because that's the Filipino mentality of being very ethnocentric. When put side by side culturally and even language, SouthEast Asians and Filipinos share thigns in common.

the joys of the world ..

I'm part chinese and part dominican.

My dad is half Chinese and half Dominican, my mom is Dominican. Both were born in the Dominican Republic, but spent a lot of time living in NYC.

I didn't say anything about that, my sig is really a joke. I think Chinese students can do better than the Chinese government. So, they should be the one who takes over. I enjoy talking to a lot of Chinese students back my college days.
