1 sec or less with Mozilla Firebird and Comcast Cable internet in Delaware. Before I switched (from internet explorer to Firebird) it was at least 4-5 seconds.

This is on a clean hard drive, formatted 2 days ago, and this was the first time www.anandtech.com had been entered (so it was not in my cache yet). It took 6 seconds total for everything completely load and the IE bar to display "Done", but enough was loaded in 4 seconds that I was able to begin reading it.

I have 1500/128kb ADSL from SBC Yahoo.

I'm 70 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri, USA...so I'm neither Western or Eastern really. I'm in the middle.

Edit: I closed the window and tried again now that the page was in my cache, and it loaded completely in 4 seconds.

You should really look into doing structural HTML/CSS layout instead of all this nested table junk. Your page would download at least twice as fast, and with your audience, older browsers having a plain design shouldn't be an issue. Also, it would make your site compatible with cellphone/PDA browsers, which would definitely be cool.
