An older person is more likely to be involved in a "fender-bender" type of small accident, whereas a young driver is more likely to ball-up a car in a firey wreck. As upset as I get sometimes with an old person pacing a semi and blocking the fast lane, I'll take that any day over the young morons who tailgate and weave in and out of traffic and who don't know the rules of the road.
Rules that young drivers should know:
The left lane IS NOT A FAST LANE! It's a PASSING LANE. Unless you are actively passing a car, move the fvck to the right.
If someone behind you flashes their headlights, it means they want you to move over so that they can pass. It does NOT mean that they want you to give them the finger.
If I'm already following another car, tailgaiting me will not make me speed up.
Cars are now equipped with an amazing device which allows other drivers to know what you plan to do in the immediate future; it's called a turn signal.
When entering the passing lane to go around a semi, do not swerve suddenly into the lane to get in front of a line of cars only to take 5 minutes to pass the semi.
That's all I can think of right now.
Basically, older drivers are at least trying. Young drivers are simply stupid.
