So do you think that if I were to say that I don't like black people that wouldn't make me bigoted?

I don't know if you're aware of this, but homosexuality is often "disliked" from a behavioral standpoint.

From that angle, being black and gay isn't nearly the same.

Black people are also often disliked from a behavioural standpoint.

Exactly, and that isn't bigotry....as long as you don't dislike blacks because they're black, just like its bigoted to mistreat gays because they're gay.

For the record, I don't have ANY issues with gays personally. I don't know any, but I've had good experiences with the ones I've met in my life.

So what's your point?

Is any of your post actually serious...?

But to have the mentality of "all blacks act like such and such" or "all gays act like such and such" would be bigoted. It's making a generalization of an entire group. Like some posters in P&N who consistently hate on "thug" culture, but from reading their posts it becomes obvious they associate all black people with being members of that "thug" culture.

With blacks, me being a black man myself, I don't even have issues with "thugs" personally -- I try my best to look at persons as individuals despite what they may do.

Homosexuals are individuals as well, and regardless of their sexual orientation or who they marry, I keep that in mind.

Political correctness is a horrible thing. Too many times it violates freedom of speech and people are expected not to say the truth so they don't dare offend anyone. Being politically correct is just idiotic and people need to tell the truth.

You don't grasp how freedom of speech works do you? Being free to say something doesn't make you free from the consequences the public chooses to heap upon you. The government didn't stop Mel Gibson from making his drunken and insane anti Jewish rant, but the public vilified him for it. That doesn't mean his free speech was violated.

What Mel Gibson did was idiotic but that's not what I was talking about though. I am talking about when you speak the truth yet get attacked because of not being PC.

Which is still not violating someone's freedom of speech. And truth is unfortunately quite subjective. I'm sure Mel Gibson considered his antisemitic rant to be truth.

What makes you a bigot is the way you choose to frame the issue to hide from yourself the reality. Shoving a penis up an ass or a vagina is not the essence of loving another human being. The disgust that you revel in flaunting is the disgust that is you. A bigot is the most disgusting thing there is. You were made to feel disgusting and you have internalized it. You radiate it. And you are full of pride that you do. You get to go around feeling justifiably disgusted and there you are, wasting your life in a disgusted state. Every time the notion of 'homosexual' crosses your mind, you get to feel disgusted. It's like spending your life wearing shit all over your face. Lucky you, via your disgust at where a penis might be, you've stuck your head up your ass.
