Wow, what a douche.

Summary:

Cops pulls over guy
Guy tries to tell him he has a CCW permit
Cop tells him he'll get arrested if he keeps interrupting
Guy finally manages to inform cop he has a CCW
Cop freaks out that he didn't tell him earlier, threatens to beat him and arrest him on felony charges

"I tell you what I shoulda done. As soon as I saw your gun I shoulda taken two steps back, pulled my glock 40, and put ten bullets in your ass and let you drop"

Jesus christ. Somebody needs to put a bullet in that cop's head. No fucking joke. That guy is a straight up waste of life and is absolutely the 100% pure distilled essence of what is wrong with cops.

"He would have been a nice witness as I executed you." Un-fucking-beleivable.

What an asshole. That cop needs to take some lessons from this cop.

Hahaha... this guy should go do lecture circuits to dif PDs.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if someone gunned down his whole family.

I wonder if they could prosecute him under Section 1983. It would be pretty borderline, but I want to see this guy rot.

You have a problem with open carry? I do it from time to time. Mainly when I'm hiking for protection - more for mountain lions than people though.

Just because someone is open carrying doesn't make them a dipshit.

didn't say it did- but that guy was. he was using every opportunity to instigate a conflict with the cop over 'his rights,' despite the fact that the cop completely acknowledged and respected them.

and, again, this is from someone who generally assumes ALL cops are idiots with dick issues. but that dude deserves a fucking medal.

edit- also, i don't understand the whole 'lol it's legal because it's unloaded lol' thing. to me, that makes you look awful dumb. it's like a terrorist strapping C4 to his chest with no blasting cap...he's completely not a danger, but i wouldn't be against shooting him.

The thing that gets me the most is that these guys know they're being recorded. I can understand how cops try and get away with brutality when no one's around, but get caught by a bystander's video. But at a traffic stop, when you know camera and mic are running? Just don't get how one can be that stupid.

Comfort, its faster and easier to unholster, can be a visual deterrent (some would be criminals rethink if they know someone is carrying), and a few other things are what come to mind for me when I open carry.

That cop is far more dangerous than the guy he's trying to claim is dangerous.

Fuck the pig. Hope he gets gunned down by a perp.

Individuals such as those in the above youtube video do it for the attention.

And God-bless America.

Oh... I"m laughing still.

I think he's trying too hard in the end to look good for the camera. But at least he knew he was on camera and didn't go apeshit. I'm willing to be he wouldnt have been so polite off camera. I'm not saying he would go apeshit like the cop in the OP, but this is definitely a good cop. He was trying to suck up at the end, but I'm sure he wouldn't have done anything crossing the line even if he was off camera.

I'm not against what he did but I got a chuckle out of it. I'm pretty sure it was a PR move to do that :D like he WANTED to get on youtube with that appearance.

I am very pro open and conceal carry, but I do have a prob with all the California dipshits who unloaded open carry. It serves no point and is just a useless way to make a political statement about CA's dumb gun laws.

What the other poster already said + if you can't adequately conceal it could be considered brandishing.

The victim's lawyer posted the story about a week ago, before the video was released.

Apparently the district attorney intends to prosecute the victim unless he agrees to not sue the city. What a surprise, one worthless government tool abusing his power to protect another.
