That's been done - and depending on where you are, it's quite likely illegal. Speed limits also likely vary according to conditions; again, it depends on state law, but you can be written for speed excessive for existing conditions even if you are driving the speed limit.

It's only illegal if you block traffic in a line side by side.

The way you get around it is to make sure that you have enough people to, space everyone evenly and safely, but make it too hard for anyone to pass.

and then you all go to FPMITA prison for some obscure homeland security domestic terrorism offense! :awe:

😛

LOL that was hilarious. what's even funnier is that the driver was probably clueless as to what just happened, probably didn't appreciate that he/she didn't get ticketed, and probably learned nothing from this experience...its unbelievable how ignorant and incompetent most drivers are in this country.

That's not funnier, just stupid. Clueless person will still continue to act clueless and all the cop accomplished was driving like a dick too.

It's too bad most ca highway patrolmen barely passed high school and would be flipping burgers if they didn't have that job. Makes being a driver suck in California as you are under the control of these unqualified fools and there is no way to fight tickets as CA just wants your money.

I was in a similar situation on the Long Island Expressway last summer. I was cruising at about 75 in a 55, following the flow of traffic, when I spotted the officer behind me. He did not see me speeding.

Of course I slowed down to 55, and the rest of traffic was passing me easily. Because I slowed down, he went behind me for about 5 minutes and while everyone was passing me, I sped up a little bit to go with the flow.

Less than a minute later I got stopped for doing 65 in a 55.
Police in my city do this all the time. They'll tailgate so you'll drive faster then give you a ticket for driving too fast.

Suck my cruise control, hosers 😎

The idea is for you to gtfo of the lane, not outrun the cop.

If he had gotten within 20 feet you already waited to long to merge right.

Classic. When a cop is tailgating you on a 2 lane road in the middle of the city, you should drive on the sidewalk to let him pass 😀

Wait, then you get a ticket for driving on the sidewalk. Fucking copspiracy. The only way to not get a ticket is to drive the speed limit and the follow the laws. Total bullshit if you ask me.
