Police pinned me and a buddy's car for....

sitting at a gas station eating pop tarts and drinking coffee.....

We were sitting there for like 35 minutes just talking and eating with our cars parked and turned off when a unmarked police car blocked me in and then a Crown Vic and a SUV pulled in as well to block my friends truck.

It was bullshit having to sit and wait for them to run our licenses, and then when my friend told me this would make a great facebook picture and laughed, a cop walked up to him and gave him mouth on what the fuck is so funny.

I asked them what the problem was and they said we were suspicious but they never asked if we were drunk or even ask us whats in our cars.

5 of the cops were very polite, but the one cops was an asshole, yelling at us to do the things we were already doing like handing our license to one of the nice cops.

Just wow, that was exciting...

3 police vehicles? For guys eating pop tarts in their car? 😵

Yep, 3 cars and 6 officers....

I was like sweet when the unmarked blocked me in, but then I see two more coming in the station and I was like WTF, are we wanted or something?

They have to appear like they are doing something. It is not like you are going to find most cops actually going after the really bad guys....those guys are dangerous.

Did you have any vinegar with you perchance?

Maybe you shouldn't have been loitering then? Don't you have a house to hang out at?

A couple of guys hanging around a place of business in their cars looks suspicious. They probably figured that you were waiting for a deal to go down or were casing the gas station.

owner probably called thought u guys were gonna go race or rob or slang.

nope, we actually know the attendant at the gas station and we previously asked her permission if we could hang out in the parking lot every now and then. She came out and told us that we were fine after the cops left.

The cops were probably just bored, but still, that is a tad bit much with 3 vehicles.

shens. there has to be more to the story that you're not telling us.

were you two making out?

Not at the time....

but, honestly, we were just sitting there minding our own business. We were not breaking stuff or moving around a lot, just standing next to the building munching on snacks.

I really don't understand US policemen. Are they bored or something? Or too paranoid? You don't just randomly stop someone because they "look suspicious". Reminds me of that recording where a guy was being blasted at by a cop for pulling into a parking lot waiting for his friend. Stupid stupid stupid.

Meh. It happens.

Just remember that the ones that yell a lot and have power trips are the ones that became cops because they have small dicks. Try to be polite though. You just know the assholes beat their wives when they have a bad day.

Used to happen to friends and myself when we would play street hockey behind a local grocery store. All of a sudden there would be like 5-6 cop cars swarming on us from all different directions just to ask us what we were doing. Pretty fucking obvious we are playing hockey with nets, stick, pads and skates on.

What the hell? You actually hang out there every now and then?

Reminds me of some badasses in my old town that parked their 'rucks or tinted Grand Ams (later came the Civs with large exhausts) in front of the big Menards/mall lot and hung out there. Or the stalls by the water. Loved driving by there and seeing those badasses glare at everyone driving by. Cool dudes. I would joke with my mom and tell her I hung out at the stalls. LOL

Maybe the cop that wasn't friendly with you is sick of having to roll up on some weirdos loitering and eating pop tarts outside a place of business. Maybe he's was trying to hunt down real criminals and is tired of people wasting his time simply because they believe they have the right to eat pop tarts where ever they want. Maybe he'd have been neglecting to do his job had he let two people loitering outside a place of business continue to loiter and finish their pop tarts right before they rob the place because nobody confronted them while they stuffed their face with pop tarts trying to build the courage to walk in and put a gun in the clerk's face.

Get some perspective, man. While you're at it, get some respect for the individuals that keep that area safe enough for you to stand there and eat pop tarts without concern for your personal safety.

Didn't the OP say he had the owner's permission?

Is every cop who sees people outside a business suppose to call for backup in order to protect society from loiterers?

Do they have to be assholes when they do it, too?
