Snopes' assessment is that it's probably him. Given the photographic evidence, I think "probably" is too weak a word.

The odd thing is, what was Rittenhouse even doing in Kenosha before the protests?
He used to work at the YMCA there before Covid, so maybe he hung out in Kenosha.

Everyone in Northern Illinois goes to Kenosha suburb for the Outlet Mall. Also that would be the closest thing to a city from Antioch.

They spelled assault and battery wrong.
If that is Rittenhouse in the video, then we all just witnessed Rittenhouse commit assault and battery.
Based on the video, he (if Rittenhouse) specifically committed felony battery under Wisconsin law.

Under normal circumstances, that would have resulted in police being called and both those people being arrested. Based on video evidence, its an easy felony case and rittenhouse would be considered a "felon".

fun stuff

Lol I don't think so, I grew up here and that's never been a thing amongst anyone I know. As a matter of fact most people I know try to avoid Kenosha if they can.

I grew up Northern IL (Buffalo Grove), going to the outlet mall was certainly a thing, never went to Kenosha itself though. Maybe things have changed in the past 20 years. /shrug

Fair enough, I grew up in Lindenhurst and went to school in Antioch so a bit further north than BG, most people I knew thought the outlet malls up there werent even worth it really but I never went myself.

grew up in kenosha before that mall was constructed, we've had lots of collage age IL folks crossing the border just to drink in our bars before the age was raised to 21 in the 80s

He's calling out people that have made choices in life--not born as something or into circumstances that they can't control. Yet, you predictably don't understand the distinction. You want him to be racist and stereotyping, when nothing could be further from his comments.

What he criticizes is something that is possible in all of us. He specifically targets those that have chosen poorly, whether through personal misery, terrible choices in life, or just weak brains that have formed perfect vessels for exploitation of those most craven--the GOP doesn't exist without that kind of crowd, and you know it. They would have no other power without the weak-minded, fear-prone ripe for exploitation.

And these are all personal decisions that people make for whatever reasons they choose. These are adults making terrible decisions in their lives, and so stark criticism is warranted. Unless, you think you were born a bed-wetting republican just like a black person was born black. Do you think that makes any kind of sense?
I don't live on these forums so checked in to see this sad response. Good to see others agree with you...I'd be shocked on here if they didn't. He lumped all cops into one category and you're good with that. I have nothing to say to that.
