As an Auburn alum & fan, I hate the fact those dogs are there along the sidelines.

Why?

They're not needed and IMO reflects poorly on the fans (makes us look thuggish). I don't remember fans rushing the field at Auburn...the closest I ever saw was the players came back out of the locker room to celebrate with us, tore down the goalposts and passed the uprights to the student section.

What do they need a K-9 unit at a football game so close to the field for?

Exactly. WTF? I say he sues the police department. That's bullsh!t! Again, WTF is that dog on the field?

Why does everything need a lawsuit? Just shut the hell up and move on. Things aren't perfect guys and lawsuits are not going to change that. God damn sheeple.

Ok /endrant

I hate the sue-happy mindset but if this lawsuit gets those dogs off the sideline then more power to her. I'm not sure I'd sue the police officer, he was assigned there...sueing the OPD is fine by me though.

Honestly, as long as they do not try to pin the individual officer for anything and the dog remains untouched then I don't really care. I don't know how I feel about dogs on the sidelines since I do not know why they made the decision to put them there in the first place instead of just the officers, but if their reasons are good then I wouldn't want the dogs removed either I suppose.

Honestly, what possible reason is there to have K-9 units there?
If the dogs were there for crowd control (keep fans off the field) why were they facing the field and not the stands? Also, if fans do rush the field are they going to turn the dogs loose on the fans? Yeah, that wouldn't be real smart either. I can't think of a single good reason to have those dogs on the field. I worked on the sidelines of Auburn football games for a couple years (Eagle handler) and I don't remember a single time fans rushed the field at J-H nor do I remember seeing K-9 units on the field.

Ya I know. I couldn't think of any other reasons either. I have been wrong before though. *shrug*

Good boy.

:p

Rammer Jammer :p

Call me when you get 9 in a row. I thought you Auburn guys were good with animals? I guess when you're a football player you can skip all of your livestock and animal classes. ;)

3 more years my friend. Next year should be a gimme since it's at Tuscaloosa...I figure Saban will have The Tahd in tip-top Dolphins shape the following year. ;)
