Police Dog bites Auburn Football Player

He should have had better control over the dog, but it generally isn't a good idea to approach a police dog running. But yeah, the obvious conclusion was that the dog was a bama fan.

well, that sux

There is no excuse for that. The cop should have better control of the animal.

I don't think you can blame the officer unless the officer was the one who trained the dog. The dog didn't really have to move to bite the guy, he stuck his hand right in front of its face. There was nothing the officer could have done about it at that point.

the fault is not the football players. If it's dangerous to run at a police dog it shouldn't be anywhere near a sideline or endzone.

I wasn't blaming the player in that case. I'm just saying the instinct of the dog may have kicked in at that point. Considering their training he may have considered the player a threat to the officer and tried to protect him. That is a good question though. Why did they have the dog on the sideline?

If that's the case the dog shouldn't be placed near where people are going to be running. 😛

So did they put the dog to sleep for bitting him?.....thats what they would do if it were a non police dog.

Not necessarily - we have a four-time offending dog up here that's not been put down yet..

That led me to an even better video

I lost it when the handler dove and missed the perp. The looney-tunes music was perfect!

LOL, yep. The music was perfect. It's rare that a YouTube video actually makes me laugh out loud, but when the handler fell, the guy ran off and the dog passed him I almost died.
