I'm going to have to agree with TFP on this one, assholes who do this kind of crap are endangering joe six-pack who just want's to get home alive to his/her family at the end of the day, it's a public roadway and no one has the right to put anyone else s live in needless danger..

Hope you two get caught speeding and get the crap beat of you.

Then let's see you change your tune.

Douchebag criminal got his ass beat and douchebag cops got fired and charged... I don't feel bad for either of them.

This.

The guy on the motorcycle was a shithead, you won't see me shedding a tear for him. And police should be allowed to use some force, yes, even if it involves *gasp* using their batons to make sure a suspect doesn't get away!

Where they went wrong is when they deliberately tried to cover it up. Big mistake. They disregarded their own police department's rules. And what good is a police officer (someone meant to enforce the law) if he can't obey his own rules?

So yeah, the cop deserved to get fired.

Dave, I got caught speeding last November on I-95, 85 in a 70MPH zone and this is what happened, FHP lit me up, i IMMEDIATELY pulled over, since I had no other marks on my license cop gave me a break and only wrote 79 on my ticket so it was a $115 fine instead of a $275 fine, why?. I didn't whine,"but others were going faster than me, why didn't you get them", make stupid excuses, ect. Just showing simple respect and no bullshitting and he gave me a huge break, assholes who try to outrun a cop are putting EVERYONE who happens to be on the road that day at risk so fuck 'em, I could care less if they got a beating, if that dude on the bike had pulled over and the cop just started beating on him for no reason then yea, that would be hugley wrong and cop would need to be fired and sued..

Their is a difference between speeding and evading police. But i guess common sense is too much to ask for.

slightly related to this weeks This American Life....
which is good but will make u mad
http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/414/right-to-remain-silent
"Act Two. Is That a Tape Recorder in Your Pocket, or Are You Just Unhappy to See Me?
For 17 months, New York police officer Adrian Schoolcraft recorded himself and his fellow officers on the job, including their supervisors ordering them to do all sorts of things that police aren't supposed to do. For example, downgrading real crimes into lesser ones, so they wouldn't show up in the crime statistics and make their precinct look bad. Adrian's story first appeared as a five part series in the Village Voice, written by Graham Rayman. Schoolcraft's website looking for other cops to come forward is here. (41 minutes)
"

I heard that last weekend, it was pretty fucked up. All because they didn't want the calculated crime stats to go up. I couldn't believe the last part where the Brooklyn North ( I think that's who it was ) commander showed up with ~10+ officers at the officer's house and basically had him committed.

You just don't see too many videos of police giving a motorist the beat down after pulling over promptly, following the officers direction or requests, and being polite or at least minimally civil. I'm sure there have been one or two incidents since the advent of the automobile, but...

The worst I've seen were a couple where they tased the driver for being argumentative despite not physically resisting. Usually they do a bit more to deserve it.

More like he lost control of the bike or was running out of gas. Look closer, he hops off the bike and statrs to run as well. Should those cops be disciplined?, yes, but I hope the dude on the bike is in tons of pain for a long time IMO..

are you fucking kidding me? he stops, and the cops ram him and he hops off. hes just standing there and gets on the ground like the cops tell him, and the douche runs in and starts beating him with a club. you've got problems

Ram? more like "tapped", the bike didn't even fall over and he's not "just standing there" he runs and falls then gets the beating. Look, I'm not defending cops beating someone but dollars to donuts the dude was trying to get out of the cops sight long enough to ditch some dope he was carrying, were the cops wrong, yes but his wrong was far worse IMO, putting everyone else on the road at risk so he could ditch drugs or play games with the cops..

There's a difference between speeding and running from the Cops. Police chases are dangerous and innocent people get killed. IMO the consequences for evading the Police are too light.
