Unnecessary force is always inexcusable.

While I personally have no problem with rapists and assholes having the shit beat out of them, it's not the place of the police to do so. The police generally deserve a lot of respect and leeway, but you can never excuse shit like this because it endangers everyone who will ever be stopped by police.

After watching the news vid after the dashcam vid, those officers were completely screwed once the continued the pursuit against orders. Their best ally is their commander and basically they told him to eff off.

again... easiest way to stay from police brutality, DONT COMMIT A EMM-EFFIN CRIME.

Now remember the society is rapidly moving in a different direction. Illegal immigrants do whatever they want, drug lords openly threaten police chiefs, certain religious people are ready to kill who ever insults their god without fear of any consequence. Police too will eventually do whatever they want pretty soon, they will find a way to do things away from camera and find way to get out of these "prosecutions". So if you want to stay safe, its pretty easy, don't break they law.

Good luck with that. You've probably already broken the law today and don't even know it.

I usually side with the cops when people get tazed because they are resisting arrest. With that being said, I'm never on board with them beating up citizens. They deserve to go to jail as their crime is much worse than 'the criminal's' crime. He's also gonna get paid. Great job Dallas PD.

You run from the police you deserve to be beaten into submission. I fully support the right of the police to beat down fools like this guy. Everyone knows this.

More douchebag cops giving police a bad name. Glad they got fired and the department didn't put them on some stupid "administrative leave pending investigation".

YEAH! beat his ass! although the two cops should have broken off pursuit when told to, he totally deserved that beating. if more motorcycle chases ended in ass beatings perhaps those guys would stop acting like douchebags on the roads.

eh, probably not, but don't let that stop us from trying!

honestly, he's lucky he didn't die running from the cops on a bike. he got off lucky. seen too many vids where the rider ends up plowing into a car or tree or whatever else.

You really can't give the Dallas Police a bad name. Come on. The Cheif of the Dallas Police, Chief Brown, his son is a cop killer. A higher up in the dept that supposidly not under orders, told Dallas motorcycle cops to run a motorcade for the cop killers funeral procession.
There are some good Dallas cops, but the smart ones leave after 4 years and have enough time to get a job in the burbs.

Oh, and this all happened on MLK Jr road. lol Way to uphold the man's name.

BTW, the only person responible for this ass beating is the crook for not maintaining his bike. The reason he keeps pulling over is because the kickstand keeps falling down engaging the engine kill switch.

Dallas PD is one of the worst PD's in the country in regards to fuck ups.

Unrelated, their narco division is probably the worst in the country.

This doesn't surprise me.

DPD is also broke as hell. Heres another easy multi-million judgement because the guy can sue under a lot of different claims under both state and federal law.

i thought evading arrest had its own penalties. why would they think they had any right to beat him?

Anyone know if the video hired an attorney and filed on the cops?

Honestly, I was expecting more of a beating.
srsly! The entire thing occurred with the suspect completely outside the camera view except the very top of his head.

I thought this was interesting:
Brown said a police supervisor received an anonymous tip letting him know about the case. As a result 22 officer, including Randolph and Bauer, were interviewed.
That almost certainly means another cop who was there/witnessed it was the anonymous tipster.

"Act Two. Is That a Tape Recorder in Your Pocket, or Are You Just Unhappy to See Me?
For 17 months, New York police officer Adrian Schoolcraft recorded himself and his fellow officers on the job, including their supervisors ordering them to do all sorts of things that police aren't supposed to do. For example, downgrading real crimes into lesser ones, so they wouldn't show up in the crime statistics and make their precinct look bad. Adrian's story first appeared as a five part series in the Village Voice, written by Graham Rayman. Schoolcraft's website looking for other cops to come forward is here. (41 minutes)

The guy on the bike was a criminal that just got in trouble and released recently.

He was no angel.

Why? He didn't assault an officer. He didn't pull a weapon. He didn't show any sign of a threat. All he did was evade the police.

As you implying that anyone pulled over for speeding should have his ass kicked by the cops?

Tst..tst..tst....

When a cop turns on the light/siren, you need to pull over ASAP, pronto. The guy in this story did NOT.

I have been pulled over by cops more than I care for but I never got beat up or even harrash and no, I am not white. Maybe because I pulled over immediately and did not mouth off or made any sudden moves toward the cops or gave them attitude and got my license/registration/insurance ready and up to date?

I'm going to have to agree with TFP on this one, assholes who do this kind of crap are endangering joe six-pack who just want's to get home alive to his/her family at the end of the day, it's a public roadway and no one has the right to put anyone else s live in needless danger..
