No, but 28 fucking days of February does. There's 31 day months that could have had a day taken to boost February.

edit:
If two 31 day months gave a day to February, the year would be laid out symmetrically aside from leap years. You can tell it was developed by Europeans.

You should petition NIST to change the pound to 444g. For your feels.

I could be wrong as I never actually looked cans up specifically but lot of products are like that and I wouldn't be surprised, there's lot of stupidity and gross inefficiencies in this world. We buy oil from Saudi Arabia when we have oil here, just as an example.
What do you think is cheaper to ship?

Two tonne of aluminum ingots or two tonne of aluminum cans?

^ Probably not much difference to ship, since the cans would be compacted into blocks, then the blocks weight vs ingots weight, rather than volume, determining how many pallets are needed, so approximately same # of pallets, then same handling of pallets, same shipper.

I mean domestically, would probably be cheaper for the ingots overseas in a shipping container if you can share the container expense with another shipment due to more volume remaining in it, but that would be quite an opportune situation where there was exactly that difference in volume, overall would still take roughly the same amount of shipping container space for the other goods. since you don't get a discount if there's a few cubic feet left empty.

Compacted? We are talking about new cans to be filled with beer or soft drink...

Because it's mixing units. Mixing units is irrelevant. How imperial relates to metric doesn't matter.
Numbers are numbers. You are going to have to work out why you have issues with 330 vs 333.

The funniest thing is that it literally doesn't affect him as he's not in Europe and AFAIK doesn't particularly plan to go there to consume soda. I'd figure it's because 330mL "feels" more metric by ending with a zero, just like Europe opted for 50Hz over 60Hz for power because it's "more" metric.

All kinds of beverages come metric sized. I have water in the fridge that's 330ml, and foreign beer usually is too.

I don't think I'd go so far as to say "foreign beer usually is", as that's not my experience. I mostly get them in 500mL or 355mL.
Buying canned/bottled water though, you're just getting what you deserve.

Buying canned/bottled water is for chumps, don't complain if you don't like the way they measure it :p

You drink canned/bottled water. You just said you did. They have some other stuff in it, but it's essentially water.

But his feels!

Wonder how he feels about 16.9 oz (~= 500cc) pop.

WTF is it about that Ted Lasso tv show that makes it better than watching paint dry? It gets high ratings and I just don't see how.

At least there's satisfaction once paint is dry, similar to how there is satisfaction when you stop watching Ted Lasso.

I MUST have sound. No option to be without. I have a music list playing 24 hours, 365 days.

Idiots in a box I can do without.

There was an episode of the Wild Wild West where Artie and Jim are chilling out in the caboose after a caper as they always did at the end of the show. The villain had been one of those who invented a lot of devious things. Artie sort of callously comments (paraphrased because I can't remember the exact quote and haven't been able to find it) ...

'He thinks he can send moving pictures thorough the air and catch them in a box. Can you imagine such a thing?'

One problem I can see with that habit is that you may not hear warning sounds (like someone moving outside your door/windows or trying to pick your locks etc.). Of course, if you have bear traps set outside your home for intruders, that solves that little problem :D

Either:

A) It's time to move to a more secure area where it's not reasonable to have the expectation of hearing noises made by intruders.

-OR-

B) If you are secure but every little noise makes you wonder about it and what bad things are happening, you'd be better off not hearing random noises that lead to unwarranted paranoia.

-OR-

C) You've been watching far too many crime-tv shows.

I don't want/need a TV playing shows in the background just for the sake of background noise, but it is a convenient way to keep up with weather, news, and listen to music whether it be through the TV or another source.

^^^ I have to in order to keep the Tinnitus at bay. Sometimes it's rather loud. Background music in a quiet room makes it tolerable.

The only thing tapping on the house around here is the woodpeckers.
