When I'm setting up a new mail server or make major changes I always send random test emails from different sources such as gmail or even my work email to test deliverability.

I often also include the word viagra in there somewhere for good measure to test the spam filtration. The CSIS agent assigned to me reading all my email traffic must be so confused at all the random emails that look like "test kjdfldsjfkdsfds viagra test fdskfds ".

Not sure if this should be in RFWP or FWP, so it'll go here. I've been splitting the white pine I cut for firewood. It's shitty firewood, but it's here and needs to be gotten rid of. I opened a piece, and there was a nice clean blob of sap. I thought "Hmm..." and stuck it in my mouth. Tastes good. Piney, herbal, and a bit of astringency. The problem is I got some in my moustache, and it's sticking to my lips, so I feel it whenever I move my mouth :^/

Pine sap can be so sticky and hard to clean off you. Gas does work well though. There is one type of pine that has a grayish trunk that often has bubbles on it, touch that and hands are immediately sticky. Somehow I always forget just how bad it is because I always end up touching it. In fact I think that may actually be white pine.

Spruce tips are good. They'll be coming in soon. I also like juniper berries. My eastern red cedars(juniperous virginiana(sp?)) next to my drive get berries, and I'll eat some when I'm out there and notice.

I haven't eaten a juniper berry, but definitely love the way my juniper smells. It's massive, I should take a pic, at a guess 20' long by 10' wide and over 5' tall, with a neat little hiding place under the foliage near the trunk where a small person could sit and pretend they were a gnome or something.

I have 3 model M keyboards. Something will happen to one of them, I switch to another til it starts screwing up, then switch again. I've made a full circuit at least once by this point, and the replacement keyboard always works. I can't remember why any individual was retired, but it works when put back into service.

This last time was because some of the keys wouldn't work til the keyboard was physically warmed up. Got tired of using a soft keyboard and mouse, or using my phone. I bet it works fine when it's time comes around again. It's like they go on strike, and need some time to rest before getting back to work :^D

The world will one day be saved by an original IBM Model M keyboard. Some old computer from 1985 that controls something critical will be in emergency need of having a command typed in and someone will find an old Model M keyboard and plug it in to type the commands.

Ugh the spring forward is the worst too. It makes getting up early that much harder because it's like getting up an hour earlier. Takes me most of summer to get used to that too. Then we switch it back lol.

There was talk about abolishing all this before covid happened but guess that's out the window now. They never really bothered to revisit it.

Ground beef, ground pork, some spicy mexican meat like stuff, diced tomatoes, broccoli, corn and fried together, then shredded cheddar on top.

I have no idea what to call it, but it tastes good.

Yesterday some guy said the time changes next week. I'm thinking "Huh... Some guy online said they change this week", and I just shrugged it off. Every clock I really use is network connected, so as long as NTP keeps updated, I'm on the right track.

Look at this bag...

IMG_20250315_135932904.jpg

All that bullshit type that says nothing. Literally everything on there applies to bog standard potato chips you can buy in any convenience store. What they don't say anywhere is they're crunchy as shit, and have a nice buttery flavor. I've had cassava chips before, so I know what they are, but maybe someone else would like some useful information. Marketing bullshit...

I don't think I've had fresh cassava. I may have had it mixed in with a root casserole or something, but I've never bought it for the house aside from cassava chips. I like the chips. Like potato chips, but different.
