<< come on guys give potatosalad a break, he's just trying to justify his purchase of overpriced palm device that can't even play mp3 or video :p
I would say peace of mind came if he can bash at ppc weaknesses and point out palm is the best, just cuz he own a palm. The only strength i can find on palm is it's size. period. Bah i can't even understand how to write in grafitti.. it took a long time to learn.

<< All this talk of software market share made me think?so I took a look at this:

Chart

Interesting?potato had better invest in Palm so they don?t go under.

As for me, I have owned a Palm 1000, 5000, IIIXe, Handspring Visor, Handspring Deluxe, Handspring Platinum, Handspring Prism and now a Compaq iPAQ. And you can have my iPAQ?when you pry it from my cold dead hands?or when the new model comes out.

And as for your asinine battery argument?compare a Handspring Prism or a Palm 505 to an iPAQ using the same features, syncing the same number of times and I bet the difference isn?t that great. My Prism never lasted a week. Sure I could get a week out a battery on an 8088 computer running DOS and not accessing any drives and only using a 7? screen but I would prefer 3 hours on my Tecra 9000 using WiFi to connect to my cable modem or watching a DVD.

BTW?as simplistic as you are potato?you have been entertaining?kind of like watching a lab rat getting repeatedly shocked by selecting the wrong food over and over and over. Too funny.

This thread reminds me so much of what happened when a group of kids gather around with their new toys and compete for the coolest title. :D

heheheee...this is not a flame...I just find that the deciding factor is personal preferences. :p....

It's not about that. NFS4, myself and the other "PPC supporters" fully recognize what Palm OS is good for but potatosalad simply doesn't like PPC because it's a "Microsoft contraption".

Either way. The arguement is over.

i borrowed my buds palm IIIc...its a piece o crap. No good games, the screen is a bit too sharp for me, i can see pixels and such and the color is bad. No network expansion cards (802.11 and ethernet). I can't wait till i get a pocket PC...
