I had "sent to warehouse" for 2 days, and the status became "sent". It should be here on Monday.

For the people who already got this, can you guys give us more information on how well it works, mount, etc...

Man, this stinks... I ordered mine on 9/9/02 4:37pm EST and still hasn't shipped.

I've had it for a week, but I'll be trying it tonight so I'll see for myself whether that laser works or not. Many of you are saying it's a POS, but maybe the cops didn't pull the trigger, or the radar wasn't turned on. Let's not jump to conclusions and try it out for a while longer, then we'll post some messages that won't scare everybody into selling theirs on ebay. Amazon had some pretty good reviews before, so why would the unit suddenly not work?!
 
I read reviews on several different sites and none were very good, thats why I passed on the deal, even though I was tempted for $30
 
Any updates on this??? How have they worked for you?

I have a WEIRD problem... I had requested the order to be cancelled because it was taking too long and I decided I really didn't need the product. When I go to the order status on buy.com is states: Cancellation Requested. Now... like 5 minutes ago UPS pulls up and I get the radar in a box from buy.com. My CC hasn't been billed "yet" but I don't see why they sent it out when I requested it to be cancelled like 2 weeks ago. Any thoughts?
 
The compass is pretty good, it's nice to know which way you're going. I've also had many alarms go off on the X, K, and Ka bands, with mostly X bands. I also got one of those VG-2 signals that hides my detector from the cops. Overall, I think it's worth it just to have something on my dash that looks pretty cool. 🙂
 
Just checked, back in stock fellas, and at the $29.95 price (price mistake of the day, at that). Grab it if need be.
 
Well so far the radar detector has been ok, but my compass has sucked.

I have followed the directions and have had to reset it twice.

Today heading to work, Driving East, it said I was heading North West. :-/

Hopefully it will start working right.

It is a good deal for $30 I will say.

Just ordered one. I don't expect it is the best detector. If it deserves 3 stars out of 5, I will be happy enough. The price is really attractive.

Passed on this the first time, but jumped on it this time. Need that compass so I can figure out which direction the damn freeway goes.
