I passed my PMP exam this morning. Talk about a great feeling.

For anyone who is curious, here are the kinds of questions on the test (200 questions, 4 hours.) Text

Congrats. From what I've heard, everyone thinks they failed it, but still pass. Maybe it's a give your cash and get your cert type of program?

I know a few people from when I worked at IBM who never passed it or took two or three tries to pass it. It's a pretty expensive thing to have to retake. I think they don't make it so easy that everyone passes so that it means something to the people that do. It's a pretty good mix of needing real world experience and understanding how things 'should' work.

Yea, I highly doubt its a cash for cert program like some of the IT certs have become. Its one I've been looking into, but need more experience (3 years MINIMUM!).

Congratulations markgm!!

Good job!

That's a tough one. You will be highly valued and very well paid with your PMP certification.

Now get to work on those resource utilization charts STAT! I want to see you issues list as well, followed by your scope management action items.

Better get to work on those KPIs during your PKAs whilst not devaluing the socioeconomic impact of the KYT training!

Where are my Kaizen reports?

Have you completed your FMDS training and nemiwashi'd to center specific and 5S your work area?

I have Neffing on my risk management plan, I think I've covered all of my bases.

That's not a risk.

STRIKE.

That's a resource issue. Speak to the resources manager about poor performance from said resource. Really put the screws down and document his neffing.

My A3 is being continually improved through the methodologies of TBP with a distributed application of PDCA.

FMDS (Free Money Distribution System) certification has been completed through Phase II, with Phase III being leveraged via sustained 5S development of the personal task space.

Neffing is how I'll solve all of my problems, I'll just ask ATOT for advice. Judging from the YAGTs, I won't have any problems getting back on track.

Neffing would be on my risk register if any of my team members were AT'ers.

So then the question remains....

Is ATOT on your resource list? If so what is their manhour cost.

I want my cut dag-nabbit.

I think it's worthwhile if only to feel confident in knowing where PMI is coming from. The best guide for a refresher is Rita Mulcahy's book.

I'm sure they're out there online, and you can probably pick them up cheap used since a lot of companies will buy them for their employees taking the test and once they pass I doubt many hang onto them.

Congratulations!

Forgot that in my post above.

How much of it is about MS Project?

I've been using Open Workbench instead of MS Project. Are you familiar with that? Any opinion about it? Text

Short answers: Yes, doubt it, 0

Longer answers:
The test is based a lot on that guide, but like I said before, there are things that aren't covered.

I haven't looked, but I can't imagine the book costing THAT much.

PM is about processes and concepts, not applications.
