I hope you are being sarcastic there. The law and dictionary never agree on anything. See, I actually looked up the law, as opposed to looking in a dictionary, and the law states that a person under detention can be removed from the location if the officers deem it necessary. Again, in this case, the officers placed him under arrest, and it would have been unusual in this case for them to move the detention to the police station (that would be more common for someone under detention at a crime scene, and the officers want to remove the person from the crime scene for questioning). Quote as many dictionaries as you like, but until you can quote legal precedence, take your mightier-than-thou attitude elsewhere.
