I don't like Romney. I feel like he is the John Kerry of the GOP, except worse. However, I don't see how Newt will have any chance against Obama if they just continue to run ads to attack his character (and he will deserve every single last bit of it). Stuff like how he served one of his wives divorce paper while she has cancer. He is a scumbag and a lot of Republicans don't like him.

You're discounting what I said earlier. White working folks are highly motivated to get rid of this president. Obama is just plain offensive every time he speaks and only grows the anger against him.

There will be record numbers of white working people showing up at the polls. 2010 was just a taste. America has seen what he is.

Can't do it. Without going into detail in my position it would be irresponsible to make that kind of bet. I know you think us Dems relish in living off the govt dole but I tend not to follow script.

In 1972 through 1974 Nixon tried the same duck the Watergate questions strategy Newt is trying today over his treatment of his ex-wives, and it simply did not work in the end. Herman Cain tried it too, in late 2011 regarding sexual harassment, and it did not work either.

Don't blame us Democrats, these are only the GOP primaries, and already all four top running Republicans are badly damaged goods even the GOP is reluctant to buy.

I am beginning to believe that GOP does not want to win the Presidency in 11/2012. As long as there is a democratic President to blame the GOP evades blame for keeping the country in bad economic shape, thus preserving the GWB economic strategy and preventing needed reforms.

I think the real problem is that patriotism is dead. We have no enemy outside of this cloud of terrorism which is difficult to unite against because it has no one source. Now all we have left to do is bicker among ourselves for power and petty reasons.
 
Budashes, a lot of that 'patriotism' over 'enemies' was way overrated, a smokescreen for bad policies to exploit others

You don't want your nation to be too much fixated on 'enemies' even like the legitimate case of WWII (which the US entered reluctantly after staying out for years anyway).

Hitler or 9/11 are not the things to set the national agenda. We do have a big problem, by not having an agenda enough about a 'safety net' and positive policies.

Unfortunately, the 'bickering' you mention is what happens a lot, opening the politics up for exploitation by propaganda-wielding interests - not for, say, global hunger reduction.

That's all the left has anymore - insults. When dealt with the crippling facts and reality of obama's failed presidency and how he is despised by working people they sling the insults.

That's when you know you've won and why I can rest assured he will lose the election, and democrats know it. Since the 2010 election season democrats have consistently and rightfully distanced themselves from this president.
