Do you guys just suck it up and pay for exactly what you want? Or will you sacrifice if you find a good deal.
My delima - I have been researching NF4 boards and really like the MSI. The SLI board even has the Soundblaster on board, which is nice. Although I haven't decided if I want to get the SLI or non-SLI.
And then the AMD Tech Tour comes up. They are offering the 3200+ with the Asus A8N-E NF4 Ultra board with WinXP x64 for $250. I think this is a good deal, but...I really want the Venice, and nobody seems to know which rev. the 3200+ chips are. Also, the Asus board doesn't have firewire. I dont have a super need for this, but I do have a Sony Mini-DV camcorder, so I'd eventually have to buy a PCI 1394 card if I got the bundle.
So if this isn't too much OT, I'd love to hear your guy's experiences and decisions with this type of situation.
