Explain to me a situation in which someone NEEDS private student loans to afford to go to college, and yet are unable to buy a used car.

Interesting, my credit score is currently 702. It had been up around 760's before i started school but with the new loans its gone down...

#1. New Car (last month)
#2. Mortgage (last fall)
#3. My dad added my name to one of his credit cards (so that i could charge some stuff at home depot that i needed), but his limit was over 25k....
