what should i do to help her slim down?
tried excersize and changing her diet. vet says its not a glandular thing...but she doesnt eat much.

her:

my fat cat listening to the smiths
slightly different angle
i slapped a coin in this one. im sure she looks big enough without it...but...eh. ill try and get some more of her walking around later. because thats when you can really see the weight.

thanks for any advice.

we have 1 normal sized cat and then she comes waltzing into our lives and somehow just balloons!

we feed them 1/4 of food twice a day and thats all. the skinny cat eats some table food but the huge one wants none of that.

she's an indoor cat so...i doubt she could be eating anything she'd find in the house in bulk enough to gain that kind of weight. we saw it was happening, obviously, but the vet had no advice other then to put her on a diet. which, of course, we had done already. we think it might be a reaction to the spaying procedure that induces a sort of "flase pregnancy" but...im not sure how much that theory hold us.

My pussies were starting to get a bit flabby in the belly recently, so we switched them from regular Science Diet to Science Diet Light. I think it's working so far. They don't get much to eat either. I wish I were a cat so I could just sit on my ass and sleep all day long.

You take the cat to the vet? She could have a thyroid problem. Common in cats.

Yeah, some cats seem really pre-disposed to weight gain. We feed all our cats the same and we have two regular-sized cats (well, they are big, but big as in long and tall, not fat) and one cat that's basically round. We make sure that the round one gets exercised (laser pointers are great for that) but she doesn't really lose weight. She's not unhealthy though, at least, not noticeably so.
