If it is any consolation I killed a Diamond Viper II (savage 2000) removing the heatsink. My screwdriver slipped on the creditcard I used as insulation between the card and screwdriver head. Right as the heatsink came undone, so did my control over the screwdriver. Gouged a trace near the gpu, and somehow chipped a ramchip 2.5inches from the trace gouge.
