I honestly dont think its my cpu

Not ruling it out

I just think thats far down on the list of likely causes

I believe its more likely a software/driver conflict, RAM failing, HDD failing, PSU failing, or motherboard failing

Just from my experience... cpu's are usually one of the longer lasting components in a desktop pc

Nothing more to say really until I get home and swap the RAM back hopefullt then i can atleast get back into windows and back up files

Saw that you have Event id 9, iaStor error.

It could be disk error like bad sector, faulty SATA port or faulty cable.

I dont know, i think i fixed my hard drive by fitting the broken piece from the hd end into the cable, and then sliding that onto the pins. Feels like contact is good didnt try and boot it yet though

I reseated my cpu cooler, applied new thermal paste

Moved RAm back to slots 1 and 3

She boots with the 500gb only

The 3tb that i just broke will have to try tommorow

You need to go component-by-component in this thing, once you get it booting back into windows, do a few hours worth of stress testing on RAM, CPU, and disk usage, see if one of them repeatedly causes a bluescreen. If I were a betting man I'd say you either have something RAM-related going wonky, or something wrong with the disk itself. If it seems isolated to the disk, but the disk itself isn't reporting issues with sectors/whatever going bad, reformat/reinstall and see if that fixes things. If not, get a new drive.

If i have just my c: hooked up it will let me boot into my desktop

Windows repair sometimes will screw up the system.

Don't connect your 3TB drive at boot. Boot the system using 500GB drive, then connect the 3TB drive (hot plug) .

Launch your disk manager and see how drive letters are assigned. Might have to reassign them.

Remove drive letter from the 100MB boot partition if it's assigned a drive letter.

Use free partition manager if necessary.

You need to go into the bios and ensure that you are indeed booting off the 500gb drive.

I don't know why I am laughing. I had this same thing happen to me some years back and remembered that that 160GB drive was sitting on my desk. I rest my Nikon on it! LOL. I was able to just attach a sata cable to it and copy the data off. It was one of those WTF moments and why didn't they design the standard to make the connector on the hard drive female. Something not so fragile like the new USB Type C connector.
