I created a "VB" theme that mimicked the previous AT theme, as a user style. Ryan Smith was nice enough to add it as a theme option for everybody.
I don't see it under the style chooser button.
I'm working on a similar user style for the current site, but some things just can't be done with CSS. I'm afraid I may have to write a user script (JavaScript) to get features like "first page" and "last page" links and OP names on thread listings. That seems both like something the admins are less likely to accept, and like something that will look like a kluge that should have been done as a true Xenforo theme instead. Which I think it should be.
The page links area all there (not sure about a link to page 1, though). I see the last five page numbers and can display them all. You can also limit the number shown (the old site showed only three links) for spacing purposes.
It's incredibly tedious working with the currently available styles. Partly because of how complex they are with respect to behavior at different browser widths.
The more I get into it, I'm realizing that there's actually some nice behavior there, such as the treatment of the top header. When the window is sized small, the text on the right (username, Inbox, Alerts) disappears and the search box disappears and a search icon appears instead. Pretty cool.
But something is definitely screwed up at the foruming list level, where only a few tiny icons appear and the OP name and page links aren't available. Seems to me that what we're seeing is intended for small mobile screens.
