I think the little SOB has a criminal record.

Here is a link to his mug shot.

Thanks Compudog!

I'm actually using that document! :)

That part isn't the problem, a big problem is the old server. They only set the C: drive partition to the "recommended" minimum 4Gig. With only 256M remaining after trimming all I can, it's been difficult installing patches and updates. Got over that hurdle yesterday. Plus the thing was maintained by some non-it folks, who liked to install new versions of things without uninstalling the old one. It's a mismatch hodge podge of stuff. I can't wait to replace it.

Tonight, it's the Exchange on the old server. It decided to take a dive after installing the few remaining patches. Services start ok, but the information stores aren't available. All commands are grayed out, can't attach, detach. The error codes aren't helping yet.

So I've aborted the conversion, and now I am focused on just trying to get email back up and running. :|

Running the eseutil now to try and repair/recover. :(

Back to officially ignoring this thread.

Alas Ray, the server I migrated was not using the Exchange piece as the email is hosted externally. It seems ridiculous to have a girl in the next cube send an email that "leaves PA, goes to Chicago, and comes back to PA.'

Having that little space to work out of is going to indeed be a challenge. Glad I am ignoring this thread, I can empathize, but also ignore, your pain;)!

Monday afternoon ignore.

We had a 160 ton liquid chiller installed at the plant today. That would make for an exceptional water-cooled cruncher!!! :Q

Someone smarter than me needs to make a thermal storage system. Think of a Thermos on lots of steroids.

You run it in the summer and store all that heat. Then in the winter, you take the heat out and put cold in. Summer comes around, cold out heat in.

Profit. :)

I was thinking about something like this, but a bit different. Because of the fact that my house I'm living in now has no AD, and I live in central Texas, we have invested in a number of fans for the duration of the AC repairs. My wife bought a fan that does 6,000 cfm. My highest rated CPU fan does 108 cfm. I'm thinking I have to get that big fan connected to the processor as well, so that the big fan cools me and the processor. :D

Well, in that case, by the power invested in me by the Great State of Texas, Hays County, your motion is denied and thus will undergo veto, effective immediately.

Besides, I just finally got my machine up and running again, albeit still with no AC in the house. I can finally do stats, so you definitely can't allow this thread to be delete. Feel free to ignore it though.

Good morning. Damn, I had a good joke I was going to share, but I can't remember it. Oh well, I'll post it when I get home.

Has anyone ever had a custom paint job done to a car or motorcycle? I'm just wondering how much stuff like that is. I know there are a lot of factors, so I'm just looking for a ball park figure.

A ship sank in the South Pacific. One man survived, drifting on a raft for many days without food or water, until natives on a small island spotted him and dragged the raft ashore.

They put the man in a small hut and nursed him back to health over the next several weeks.

While he was recuperating, the man kept hearing drums. Day and night. Night and day. Constant drumming in the distance.

When he asked the village chief about them, the chief said, "Those drums are in a little village across the lagoon. It's very important for me to know when the drums stop. Promise me you will let me know if you hear them stop."

Several more days passed with constant drumming in the distance. Day and night. Night and day.

One night the man awakened, sitting bolt upright in bed. Something was wrong. Then he noticed the drums had stopped. He ran to tell the chief.

"Chief, the drums have stopped! What's going to happen next?"

"Ah, next is the bass solo!"
