Cheers mate, no worries. I think we all pretty much got outta this what we wanted already. It'd be nice for a comparison, but that's a lotta work...🙂

And you said that upping the voltage didn't help? ddr442, jeez!! 😉
Have you tried (or thought of trying) those memory coolers? Would they work with our ddr with the heat spreaders?

🙂

no Mikki ~ you need to replace the heatspeaders.
i dont think its worth the trouble.

my ram just wont run 444ddr (100%) stable at any settings or voltage.

you could always "hang" a 80mm fan over the ram for testing purposes.
it may help a little - but i dont think its gonna get you 10+hours outta prime95.

i do most of my stress testing with a slightly "warmer then normal" room temp anyways.
id hate to find out that a 2*C rise in room temp would crash my system 😱

Thugsrook Maybe you can now run your ram at 444ddr...you should try again if you have not already done so...
note: many ram needed a so call "burn-in" to achieve higher o/c 😉

SupermanCK ~ ive been trying 167fsb/444ddr about once a week.
it crashes P95 in 56mins every time no matter what i do 🙁

I was playing around a little with my memory timings then i saw this thread. Some thing weird happend when I was testing. If norton and folding@home are turned on then I got higher scores then if they were off. My scores are very low due to me having to use integrated video for the moment.

motherboard is an Abit-bg7
166 fsb (DDR333) for all the tests.
Sandra memory scores Int/Float.
2.5/6/3/3 1998/1999
2.5/6/2/3 2019/2021
2.5/6/2/2 2038/2047
2.5/5/2/2 2045/2044
2/5/2/2 2034/2035

I am going to run these tests again when I get my radeon later in the week

Thanks for the info Lizardman, keep us updated on your new scores. Notice how big of a jump you got adjusting RAS to CAS and RAS precharge as opposed to CAS Latency? It follows the curve of what we're finding, thanks for participating! 🙂

i know ~ but im very weary of buying or even selling (when the time comes) an OEM chip

ok here's few more 3dmark2001se results for yas...

150fsb:400ddr
cas 2-3-2-7 = 11656
cas 2.5-3-2-7 = 11587
cas 2-3-3-6 = 11566
cas 2.5-3-3-6 = 11529
cas 2.5-3-3-7 = 11517

163fsb:434ddr
cas 2-3-2-7 = 12187
cas 2.5-3-2-7 = 12177
cas 2-3-3-6 = 12117

164fsb:436ddr
cas 2.5-3-2-7 = 12220
cas 2.5-3-3-7 = 12158

interesting huh? 🙂

so i guess setting timing to 2.5-3-2-7 is better than 2-3-3-6...sure is interesting...i will be getting my p4b533 soon...i can finally verify your results thugs...
