Successful!! Just finished putting together my reference 780 ti with g10/h105 combo. Now super quiet, even when running fans at their slowest. At 1000 rpm gpu temp hovers at 43 C instead of 83 C. Just worried about the VRMs. Liquid cooling should be stock on these $600 cards!
Awesome! Glad it worked out. I've been saying for a long time that $500+ GPUs should have CLC standard as it's by far the superior solution in terms of noise, temperatures and overall system case temperatures. Imagine running dual 300W cards -- you no longer have to worry about all that heat being dumped into your case, while solving the higher noise and temperatures levels of too-closely stacked open air cards. Also, overclocking is so much easier with CLC. Not to mention when a card runs cooler, the power usage and leakage are lower. 295X2 shows that CLC is a slam dunk win but the traditionalists are not ready to adopt such colling solutions as the next mainstream standard.
