Is it also a fact that Asians all possess stratospherically higher IQs? So, that applies to me automatically? Is it also a fact that Asians are superior because Asians are the most evolved humans? That's a fact too, when looking at genetic distance and genetic diseases. So, automatically, you're bowing down to ME?

Is it also a fact that Black people have dark skin, so you can call them the N word (it's just slang for Black right?). Because that's just fact. Is it also a fact, that white people are basically all rednecks, because their skin will burn?

So, what is it are you white? You must be trash.
Are you black? You must be a great person.

Well, either way you are a patent retard for not understanding what the word "Racist" means. Get it yet, trash? :hmm: (I made an assumption here as to your skin color - yes, this had to be spelled out for you).
Umm, buddy, sorry, but you are the only one being racist here.
Attacking others for racism does not automatically exclude you.

It's amazing how much stupid shit people get offended about. No wonder why racism still fucking exists...

I have an IPod Touch. From what understand, the IPad doesn't do anything it can't. No Flash, so no "real" intarweb.

Yeah, the screens smaller but I have a lappy if I want big.

For me the IPad makes no sense, at least in it's current form.

Same here, got a netbook for half the price of the ipad. The weight of the ipad does make it awkward to hold for long periods of time.

I like the idea of a netbook but not the implementation of them. I had an MSI Wind and sold it after awhile because the keyboard and tiny trackpad drove me nuts. A notebook mouse helped, but it was still so hard to type on. I use a Dell Mini 10 at work as my portable IT rig and it's not bad, but still drives me nuts. I much prefer the iPad for portability. The only downside for me with the iPad is that it's not really good for typing, like for AIM or command-line/Word/etc. Netbooks aren't much better but they are definitely better for typing on. The iPad keyboard is about the same size as a netbook keyboard, but you have to dock it, or use the wireless one (awkward). I've got both and don't really use either.

Played with one and would not be able to use it as an ebook reader. E-ink screens are still much better for that.

Using an iPad for ebook reading would be like reading an ebook on my desktop LCD monitors.

Totally agree. I had a Kindle 1 for awhile and it was waaaay better as a reader than the iPad is. The iPad is just hard to read. I'm even having trouble reading technical PDF's on it. I can read my PDF's on my computer monitor pretty well, but I think having a screen as close as the iPad just throws my eyes off. I can't seem to concentrate very well when reading on the iPad. Internet stuff is fine, like jumping around Engadget or CNN or whatever, but even the included Winnie the Poo e-book in iBooks was sort of difficult. Like my mind just can't pay attention, even with the font boosted up & the brightness turned down.

Image-wise, the iPad's picture quality is outstanding - very clear, very sharp, very bright. The Kindle app for iPad is a bit better because I can switch to a Sepia background and boost the front and lower the brightness, but still - not so much. I also compared it to a co-workers Kindle 2 and the e-ink is just so much nicer for reading. I like e-ink even more than paper, because e-ink is nicer on your eyes - light gray on dark gray is less contrast to read than black on white. I would totally get another Kindle, except that it's terrible at handling PDF's, and the larger DX version is a whopping $489 with no touchscreen. I really think Apple should have used the Pixel Qi hybrid screen:

Also I don't ready many novels, so without good PDF support, the Kindle doesn't really cut it for me. I was hoping the Nook would do it, but not only does it have poor PDF support, but it's HORRIBLY slow (played with one in-store). So, right now, there's no perfect solution out there. Ideally a tablet with a Pixel Qi screen would be the bomb, but I guess it's a waiting game.

Also I'm really really happy with the Lynda.com support. It's a great video training site. Pop on some headphones or use the onboard speaker and voila, video training in your hands. I use it daily for this purpose, it's great!
