<< I'm not on the website either. Does anyone have a phone number? I mailed mine in around Jan 15. >>

The form says to expect rebates in 8 weeks. It's getting awfully close to that time period and I (and others) haven't even shown up on the site, let alone gotten a check. Also, the rebate form is so crappy that there isn't even a number you can call or address to send email if nothing has happened in the 8 week time period. From my perspective, they get 8 weeks to the day from my mailing at which point emails start flying out to OD and Linksys.

Can't say "oh well" to a $100.00 rebate (or several thereof).

Won the Viewsonic fight, and gonna win this fight if it comes down to it.

still waiting for mine, i really hope they send it, might not be a lot of money to some people, but $100 buys a lot.

bump...I certainly hope this doesn't turn into a Philips Rebate. With the fulfillment company not providing a call-in number, or an alternative way of contacting them, this could prove to be tricky; I'm glad OD has been so available on this one. I have a feeling OD would be a little perturbed if they started getting bombarded with a few hundred calls trying to find out what happened to their rebates. It is reprehensible for rebate companies to tout their "website tracking" and then show nothing on it.

I wonder if the ODs and other contracting companies have any idea that their rebate "representatives" are creating such a bad impression in consumer land?

If my last Linksys rebate is any indication, this one is going to take a LONG time.

Bought a Linksys wireless router on 11/12/01, sent in rebate ($20) on 11/14/01, check printed on 2/14/02 (as shown on the Web-rabates site), check received on 3/1/02!

It took them more than 3 months to cut me a check for $20, I guess I can't expect to see this $100 check in less than ONE YEAR???:):(:|:disgust:

At least mine shown up in that site. Might want to print a copy just in case it mysteriously dissapears. For those that status haven't showed up on the website, did you send it via some sort of certified mail with proof of delivery ?

Yep. I'm wondering if that isn't the problem which is causing the delay. I'm hoping that's all it is--a delay. I have a feeling that those already showing up sent it straight it.

Now my rebate is appearing on that webpageas "received and awaiting final processing". A friend of mine is now appearing also. So...hopefully....this can go to bed finally. =)

Man this is a great deal!

I emailed the fulfillment house that runs the website. I just received this reply:

Thank you for participating in the Linksys rebate program.

I am showing that you are in our system with a valid rebate in the amount of $100 as follows:

xxxx xxxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxx

You should be receiving this within the next 2-3 weeks.

Thank you,

Dalah

so tell me, puhleeze...do I need to call someone to get this FAB-u-luz rebate? I'm one of the fortunate ones to qualify for one...I have the receipt, the rebate form, and the appropriate dates, too. Also I got a call from OD, too. but I don't have a "mark" on the rebate center so I can get a hit on their website. Why is it that I'm not getting any satisfaction or atta girls on my submission, LOL?

I guess I need a clue. bye bye...

Linksys rebate woes>from the April 2002 PC World (page 40):
Long Delays in Linksys Rebates

I'VE BEEN WAITING for my $20 rebate from networking hardware manufacturer Linksys for more than three months. I sent in the UPC labels, the receipt, and the completed rebate form. I even e-malled Linksys about the status of my rebate. I received an automated response stating that someone would reply within five business days. No such luck. I like Linksys's products, but I'm very disappointed in the way this matter is being handled.
John Falk, Redding CA

On Your Side responds. I've received several complaints from readers about overdue rebates from Linksys, so I contacted the company. Karen Sohl, corporate communications manager, admits that the rebate center Linksys used was late on payments. "Based on the experience we've had with the (independent) rebate center, Linksys decided to use a different company" Sohl says. Falk with others have now received their checks.
