First off, this is probably a first for Anandtech. A do or die answer. If you answer wrong, you're banned for a mth.... If you answer correctly, you can feel good and relax that the you're ahead of the Chimps of the world. If the mods agree to this that is 😉
Of course this cannot be a normal poll because we have to see what a person posts, by you having to type it in :evil:

After seeing the little preview of the setup Mythbusters is using (and thus how they are interpreting the problem and testing it by moving the "treadmill" backwards at the plan's takeoff speed), I'm confident they're going to get the plane to fly on their miniature treadmill setup and their fullsize truck propelled canvas treadmill.

And for clarity, we are going strictly from mythbusters right? No matter how they get to the ending, just the final result.. typical MB style? If that's all the case, I will accept the consequences upon the event I bet wrong.

That's what I assume.

I really hope they go into an explanation of the different interpretations of the problem so as to explain how you could theoretically keep the plane from taking off depending on your interpretation of the problem's setup and then go ahead with their tests that are based on a realistic treadmill's capabilities.

Yes, I believe Mythbusters will come to the accurate conclusion that the plane takes off. The plane may also blow up in the process.
 
Ok, where the frig are the naysayers, every plane thread we've had in the past year or 4 has had a dozen people who were determined the thing would not go anywhere.
