Plain Yellow Mustard - refrigerate after opening?

Also...these weiners are pretty tasty. I can even gobble them down just nestled into some buns, no mustard at all.

My wife is a believer in lips, a-holes, and sawdust hot dogs, I can't eat those without tons of catsup, mustard, and sweet relish.

Yea, I did, and a case of the stupids kept me from understanding what I was seeing for a couple minutes. I'd quote your post, see a link, and then back out and the link would disappear. I did that a couple times before I figured it out :^D

Sweet pickles suck on everything. Grinding them up doesn't make them better. Here's my variations for hotdog toppings...

Plain, nothing on them
Kraut
Jalapeño and onion
rarely a spiced mustard

'murica, just because you put beer labels on water and mustard labels on cornsyrup doesn't make it so :colbert:

Distilled Vinegar, Water, Mustard Seed, Salt, Turmeric, Paprika, Spice, Natural Flavors and Garlic Powder. That's it. No calories and tastes great. Had some with my split pea soup last night. That is a heavenly combination.

I voted No, mainly because if I open a bottle of mustard, I consume it all in one sitting. It's expected with beer, why not mustard?

The worst I've seen is maple syrup.

Why in the name of God would you refrigerate syrup?

Mold will eventually grow in maple syrup.

Ketchup will eventually spoil.

I don't think I've ever seen or heard of mustard spoiling though. Although I still refrigerate it.

mustard is damn near all vinegar and needs no refrigeration. neither does ketchup (cold ketchup is terrible anyway). i also leave opened hamburger dills in the pantry, those don't spoil either.

Yellow mustard is for cooking with. Whole grain mustard is the condiment of kings. Neither require refrigeration but, I do because, most health inspectors don't know anything about food.

Ketchup can spoil. People at diners that push re-filling to many times probably have witnessed the exploding ketchup bottle.

I put yellow mustard in the fridge, but its also usually because i use it on sandwiches and things, which have cold meat on them etc. Thats about all I normally use it for.

I think the only time I have seen people place it in the fridge is if it's 100% natural as the artificial stuff is fine outside of the fridge.

The pure stuff gets sugar crystals then in the fridge and you can fix that easily but I don't like pure syrup that much.
